Years into his career, Tyler Childers has finally achieved his first-ever charting single on country radio with “In Your Love.” The track was on his recent album, Rustin’ in the Rain that came out last fall. It is a beautiful love song and was a huge standout from his project.
It’s pretty hard to believe that this is his first charting single considering his success in his lengthy career. He paved the road for non-mainstream artists and opened the floodgates for Appalachian or alternative country singers.
Childers has always been one of country music’s top artists. Rustin’ in the Rain was his sixth studio album. It’s not like he is just now becoming known, he is just now beginning to reach a mainstream audience.
Childers’s style of music seems to be at an all-time high in terms of popularity. “In Your Love” cracking the top 50 on the country radio charts further proves that. While it does seem like it took far too long for Childers to get this kind of credit, it’s nice to see him get credit nonetheless.
