Emerging country music star Sam Barber surprised fans this evening by sharing his new song “Thought of You.” In addition to a solid sample of the peppy new tune, he also revealed that it’s slated for release on Friday, October 11, 2024. The track will serve as the latest teaser for his upcoming album Restless Mind, which has already garnered significant buzz in the country and singer-songwriter scenes.
This release follows a string of successful singles, including “Streetlight” and “S.O.B.,” which have helped solidify Barber as one of the most exciting rising voices in the genre. Fans are eager to hear what Barber has in store with “Thought of You,” a track that promises to further explore his raw, emotive songwriting style.
Barber’s Restless Mind album marks the next chapter in a whirlwind year for the Missouri native. His breakout hit, “Straight Narrow,” was certified Platinum by the RIAA in May 2024 after going viral on social media. Building on that momentum, Barber released the Million Eyes EP, which included standout tracks like “Dancing in the Sky” that captivated both fans and critics alike. In addition to releasing new music, Barber kicked off his Restless Mind tour on September 26th in Springfield, Missouri. The 25-city tour will span major venues across the U.S., including stops in Tulsa, OK, Nashville, TN, and Austin, TX.
