On July 1st, Vermont native Noah Kahan earned 12 new platinum and gold certifications from the RIAA. The song “Stick Season” received its fourth platinum certification as it nears its two-year anniversary. At the same time, “Dial Drunk” featuring Post Malone now has its second platinum certification as it turns a year old just last month.
What’s also notable is the sheer amount of accolades coming to Kahan all in one go. Most of the tracks now certified for the first, second, or third time are off of either Stick Season or its deluxe version Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever). “Call Your Mom,” a deluxe release, received its first gold certification since its release this month.
Six new platinum certifications indicate six million units moved for each track since release or since their last certification. These songs have moved half a million units each for gold certifications since their initial release.
Most recently, Kahan released “Cowboys Cry Too,” a duet with country star Kelsea Ballerini. The track was his first release since Stick Season (Forever), the final entry in the trilogy that has now become his initial 2022 LP Stick Season. The 27-year-old is currently in the middle of a world tour and will be there until the end of September.
