Muscadine Bloodline has announced a new album, The Sound of Roses, due out May 1st. The project collects eight love songs from the duo’s catalog reimagined as piano and string arrangements, timed to coincide with wedding season.

The announcement comes on the 10th anniversary of “Porch Swing Angel,” one of several Muscadine Bloodline songs that have become fan staples at weddings and personal milestones over the years.

The band shared in a statement, “We’ve come a long way over the last 10 years and y’all have grown with us. Porch Swing Angel, as well some others in our catalog have become “Your Songs” over the years, we wanted to do something a little special to celebrate with wedding season on the horizon.’

Signed copies, limited to 2,000 pressings on red colored vinyl, are available now and are expected to ship next week. Each copy includes signatures from both Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton. The band did not indicate whether additional pressings are planned. Notably, this marks the first time “Porch Swing Angel” has been released on vinyl

Track listing:

SIDE A

  • 10-90
  • Azalea Blooms
  • See You Tomorrow
  • Porch Swing Angel

SIDE B

  • Put Me In My Place
  • Meant To Be Friends
  • Walk In A Room
  • Here Goes Nothing

The release continues a pattern of fan-forward rollouts for the duo. Last year, Muscadine Bloodline released Longleaf Lo-Fi exclusively on vinyl with no advance singles, no tracklist, no album art, and no title disclosed until copies arrived in the mail. That run was limited to 3,000 copies. The Sound of Roses takes a more conventional approach, with a confirmed title, release date, and digital availability on all major streaming platforms on May 1st.
