Morgan Wallen Shares Update Following Arrest

Morgan Wallen provided his first public comment since his April 8th arrest after throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s “Chiefs” bar. He wrote on X, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.”

After the arrest, the initial court date was set for May 3rd which happened to be the day of a show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Some were concerned that the show would have to be altered but ended up not being the case. “Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”

News Channel 5 Nashville has seen the official arrest report and says that “Some Metro Nashville police officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar on Broadway when a chair fell from above them, hitting the ground just feet from where they were standing.”

According to the outlet, when officers were told by staff members of Chief’s that Morgan Wallen had thrown the chair from the sixth story, the officers watched video showing Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof” and laughing afterwards.
