Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville late Sunday night after allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of Eric Church’s downtown bar, Chief’s. The news was first reported by ItsScoopNashville.
According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office website, Wallen was admitted to the Downtown Detention Center at 12:36 AM and has been charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment/assault with a deadly weapon, as well as one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
News Channel 5 Nashville has seen the official arrest report and says that “Some Metro Nashville police officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar on Broadway when a chair fell from above them, hitting the ground just feet from where they were standing.” According to the outlet, when officers were told by staff members of Chief’s that Wallen had thrown the chair from the sixth story, the officers watched video showing Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof” and laughing afterwards.
His bond was set at $15,250.
