Morgan Wallen thrilled fans at his homecoming show tonight at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, announcing the release of his highly anticipated new single, “Love Somebody.” The track is set to drop on October 18th, marking Wallen’s first release since his July 4th hit, “Lies Lies Lies.”

Performing in front of a packed crowd at the stadium of his favorite football team, Wallen made the announcement mid-show, sending fans into a frenzy. This release has been on the horizon for some time, with over two months of teases shared to social media; from what we’ve heard so far, the song channels a breezy pop sound that’s very reminiscent of his 2022 single “One Thing At a Time.” He’s also played the song live a few times overseas on his recent European tour.

Wallen’s return to Neyland Stadium on Friday, September 20th, and Sunday, September 21nd, marks only the sixth concert ever held at the storied venue, with Garth Brooks being the last artist to perform there in 2019. Wallen now stands alongside legendary acts such as Kenny Chesney, Johnny Cash, Billy Graham, and the Jackson 5, all of whom left their mark at the University of Tennessee’s iconic football stadium. Wallen’s homecoming show, where he was joined by label-mates Hardy and Ernest, further solidified his place among Tennessee’s greatest.

With the October 18th release of Love Somebody, Wallen is once again poised to once again skyrocket to the forefront of the country music conversation. Fresh off of his “One Night At a Time” tour, fans anticipate these songs to be the start of a new album cycle, though no official details have been shared thus-far.

“Love Somebody” will be out everywhere on October 18th.
