Budding indie-country star Maggie Antone is set to release her highly anticipated new song titled “I Don’t Wanna Hear About It” on February 16th. The track features a collaboration with rising folk balladeer Brendan Walter, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming release.
After sharing clips of the song on her Instagram over the last few weeks, Maggie coupled with the musical contributions of Brendan Walter. “I Don’t Wanna Hear About It” sounds to be the most fully-produced track that Maggie has released so far, with a bluesy full-band build.
As the teases indicate, “I Don’t Wanna Hear About It” is a forlorn ballad about lost love, with our protagonist wishing the best for her ex; the song comes on the heels of Maggie’s searing kiss-off “Suburban Outlaw,” released last December.
Maggie Antone has steadily become one of the most interesting up-and-comers to watch as of late, and the song becomes available on various music streaming platforms, Maggie was recently named to Country Central’s Class of 2024, which also included Wyatt Flores, the Red Clay Strays, and more.
