As anticipation builds for Kenny Chesney’s upcoming Sun Goes Down tour, the country superstar is also gearing up for the release of his latest album, “BORN,” set to drop on March 22. Among the collection of fifteen tracks is “Thinkin’ Bout,” a song that delves into the complexities of moving on while still holding onto memories of the past.
Chesney, known for his infectious energy and legendary singles, describes “Thinkin’ Bout” as an exploration of the struggle to let go. In the song, he captures the conflicting emotions of knowing it’s time to move forward while being unable to fully sever ties with the past. Reflecting on these themes, Kenny Chesney remarked, “The hardest part of letting go is actually letting go. All that chemistry, all that intimacy, all that doesn’t need to be said is such a big thing… Whatever’s wrong, obviously it’s not gonna change. But it gets late, you get thinking – and next thing you know, you’re tumbling back into something that just can’t be.”
The release of “Thinkin’ Bout” comes on the heels of the Tennessee native’s successful single “Take Her Home,” which has already climbed into the Top 20 charts.
