Kenny Chesney has announced a 12-show limited run at the Sphere in Las Vegas beginning Memorial Day weekend. Pre-sale for his fan club is currently available for registration, with sales beginning on 1/21 and general on-sale tickets going live on 1/31.

In a recent press release, Kenny shared some background on how this event came to be. “When we started talking, I flew to Vegas with my key tour team. We stood on the floor as they ran the film of U2’s show and we were completely consumed. We could see the band, but it was so much more than that. It almost took what they were doing and multiplied it by another dimension.

“Knowing how much intensity our shows generate, my mind started thinking about all the things we could do. Once you see how the show wraps all the way around you, the dreaming begins.”

Chesney is far from the first country artist to have a residency in Las Vegas, but he is making history in a unique venue like the Sphere. U2 kicked off performances at the iconic venue, followed by The Eagles and Dead and Company, with various sporting events like UFC and the NHL Draft making stops at the Sphere.

Chesney has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in country music, dating back to his debut album, In My Wildest Dreams, in 1994. Hits like “American Kids,” “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” and “Somewhere With You” have become staples in anyone’s beach country playlist. He recently wrapped up the “Sun Goes Down” tour with support from Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and more. The stadium tour hit iconic stadiums across the country like Soldier Field, Metlife Stadium, and Lincoln Financial Field. The tour was so successful they had to add a third show to places like Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, home of the New England Patriots.

The Wall Street Journal crowned Chesney “The King of the Road,” and he has been headlining tours since 2002. He’s had over 10 albums certified Gold or Platinum by RIAA, with countless singles also certified. Now signed to Warner Music Nashville, he’s had a historic career working with many different people.
