Kenny Chesney Will Release a New Song Tonight

Kenny Chesney announced on his social media that he will be releasing “Just To Say We Did” at midnight on February 2nd.

This will be the second taste of Chesney’s upcoming album. He released the first single, “Take Her Home” in November of last year.

In a press release, Kenny explains that the song is about the people he grew up with and the people he met along the way. “ ‘Just To Say We Did’ sounds like me and my friends growing up, and so many people I’ve met along the way,” Chesney says. “It’s a song where whatever it is, why not? Get out there and live, shoot your shot, do that bucket list thing – just to say you did. When you can boil down how to create real joy into three minutes that feels this good, I want to sing that song.”

This is the first new music we have gotten from Kenny in almost four years and it sounds like he’s not going to stray too far from that sound his fans fell in love with. “And I think this summer when we’re out on the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour, ‘Just To Say We Did’ is a lot of the energy we live on. Not just my road family, but all those crazy, awesome folks pulling up and tailgating out in the parking lots where No Shoes Nation comes to life every weekend,” Chesney said.

Chesney is kicking off his 2024 “Sun Goes Down” Tour this April in Tampa, Florida, and will run through the whole summer. He will be joined by Megan Moroney, Zac Brown Band, and Uncle Kracker. Fans can get tickets to the show on his website.

After almost four years, Kenny Chesney is finally back and it should be exciting for the “No Shoes Nation.”
