Country radio mainstay Jon Pardi announced today that he’ll release a new single called “Friday Night Heartbreaker” this Friday, September 6th. The announcement comes just days ahead of Pardi’s “Mr. Saturday Night” Fall Tour, which is slated to kick off in Baltimore, Maryland this Thursday.
As of now, there’s yet to be a word on whether this single will be a departure from the Mr. Saturday Night era that began over two years ago or a continuation of it to support the tour of the same name. Judging from a recent teaser, the song is a sassy, radio-ready cut with the same devilish swagger as his most recent single, “Your Heart or Mine.”
Over the years, Pardi has built a reputation for his high-energy performances and genuine storytelling. His breakout success came with his 2016 album California Sunrise, which featured early hits like “Dirt on My Boots” and “Head Over Boots.” Since then, Pardi has continued to appeal to fans of swaying, 80s, honky-tonk music, with steady doses of fiddle and steel and no shortage of catchy hooks. Boasting multiple CMA and ACM awards, Jon Pardi continues to be one of traditional country music’s most consistent voices on country radio.
“Friday Night Heartbreaker” will be available everywhere this Friday, September 6th.
