Among the esteemed contributors are established icons such as Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, and Clint Black, many of whom came up in the industry with Joe Diffie in his heyday. Perhaps most notably, the late Toby Keith will also make an appearance in this track list. Big names like them may raise some eyebrows from those who hadn’t previously given the novel “HIXTAPE” project much attention. They also underscore the impact that Diffie had on the country music landscape past and present.

In addition to these seasoned veterans, “DIFFTAPE” features a host of rising stars who are making waves in the industry. Newer artists like Larry Fleet, ERNEST, and Kameron Marlowe bring fresh perspectives and distinct voices to the table, injecting the project with some fresh blood. Their inclusion reflects the recent pendulum swing we’ve seen in country music as new coming artists have found so much influence in 90s country music.

In its typically welcoming nature, the album will also showcase lesser-known 90s country talents whose impact on country music may go a bit understated today. Aaron Tippin, Mark Wills, and Sammy Kershaw, along with big names outside of Nashville like Koe Wetzel and Randall King make this more than a mainstream, radio-country tribute.
