Last night, on May 21st, viral country artist Gavin Adcock was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

According to a report, Adcock has been charged with reckless driving and violation of open container laws, which prohibits the possession of opened alcoholic beverages in a vehicle. The 26-year-old viral singer-songwriter, known for singles like “Ain’t No Cure” and “On One,”  was booked shortly before midnight. The arrest report, filed by THP Officer Seals, indicates that Adcock was released early Wednesday morning at 4:34 AM after posting a $1,000 bond for the reckless driving charge. No bond was required for the open container violation, according to official records.

Adcock is currently enjoying a momentous ride in the wake of his breakout LP Acting Up Again, currently deep in the thick of his “Need To” tour. With the single “Never Call Again” steadily climbing the charts at country radio, Gavin Adcock is widely celebrated for his raw, authentic sound and high-energy bad boy persona on stage.

This arrest comes shortly after his sold-out back-to-back shows at The Pinnacle in Nashville, TN. As of right now, there is no indication that this incident will affect the rest of his “Need To Know” summer tour. Details surrounding the arrest remain limited. Neither Adcock nor his team has issued a public statement at this time. This is a developing story; stay tuned here for more information as events warrant.
