Flatland Calvary announced on their social media that they will release their highly anticipated song “Lubbock” tonight at midnight.
The band debuted the song five years ago when they posted an acoustic version on YouTube to celebrate Texas Tech basketball making it to the National Championship. Since then, it has become a fan favorite. After years of begging, Flatland is finally granting their listeners’ wishes, as they went back to Lubbock to properly record the song.
Flatland Calvary will release a collection of their favorite songs from the past decade to celebrate the band’s 10th anniversary. The release will be titled Flatland Forever and will include new songs, unreleased recordings, and work tapes. Their most recent release, “Three Car Garage,” is already on it, and it is safe to assume that “Lubbock” will be as well. Flatland Forever will be out everywhere on November 8th.
The group’s recent music seems simple, similar to their early days as a band on records like Humble Folks. Even 10 years into their career, they continue to impress and keep their fans happy.
“Lubbock” will be available everywhere at midnight.
