Rising country star Dylan Gossett has announced his highly anticipated debut album, Westward, slated for release on July 18th. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas, shared the news via social media, describing the album as “a collection of stories that I wrote during the craziest 2 years of my life.” Gossett expressed gratitude to his fans, adding, “I hope everyone can find something for themselves in it. Thank y’all so much.” This past week, Dylan also announced that his next single “American Trail” will be out on Friday, May 2nd. Now, it looks like it will be listeners’ first taste of “Westward.”

Gossett, who first gained attention with his 2023 breakout single “Coal,” has quickly become a notable figure in country music, blending folk and red-dirt influences with emotionally raw lyrics. Following the success of his EPs No Better Time (2023) and Songs in the Gravel (2024), as well as his most recent single “Like I Do,” Westward tracks to be a culmination of this journey. The album comes on the heels of a busy year for Gossett, who recently wrapped his sold-out The Back 40 Tour and performed at major festivals like SXSW and Tortuga.

Westward will be out everywhere on July 18th.
