Conner Smith announced on his social media that he will release new music on August 2nd. The songs were recorded at the legendary Echo Mountain studios, and the collection will be called the Smoky Mountain Sessions. “These songs came from a real place and were recorded as real as possible,” Smith said on Instagram. “This is the start of me returning to the heart of what I love, telling stories. Next step in the journey for us.”
Charles Wesley Godwin and the Avett Brothers are just a couple of other bands/artists that have recorded music at Echo Mountain. Godwin re-recorded songs from Family Ties and released them to streaming platforms this past March.
Smith recently released a new track with Tucker Wetmore for Twisters: The Album. “Steal My Thunder” was his second release of 2024, as he released his debut album, Smoky Mountains, in January. The Tennessee native has always worn his heart on his sleeve when it came to his home state, and it seems like that will continue to be a theme for this upcoming project.
Conner Smith is gearing up for his fall “The Storyteller” tour. It kicks off on October 6th in Salt Lake City and will tour the United States before ending on December 7th in Montreal. For more information about tickets, visit his website.
