Originally a rodeo cowboy, Cody Johnson has been unapologetically traditional in his music with songs like “Dear Rodeo” having a direct connection to his past. Now centering his music around family and love, Johnson has been able to be a part of huge songs like “Nothing Like You”, “With You, I Am” and “On My Way To You” all receiving various gold and platinum certifications from the RIAA.
Johnson has worked with Ian Munsick before on their track “Long Live Cowgirls” which was later released on Munsick’s album White Buffalo. He’s also worked with Brooks and Dunn as part of their Reboot album singing “Red Dirt Road” alongside the iconic duo. Johnson collaborated with Zac Brown Band on their The Comeback deluxe version, lending his vocals on “Wild Palomino.”
