Longtime country radio vet Chris Young will release his tenth studio album, I Didn’t Come Here To Leave, on October 17th, through Black River Entertainment. The release date coincides with Young’s eighth anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
The 14-track album, featuring 11 songs co-written by Young, was co-produced with Andy Sheridan. The lead single, “Til The Last One Dies,” impacted country radio earlier this month while the title track, “I Didn’t Come Here To Leave,” is available now.
Chris Young, born Christopher Alan Young on June 12, 1985, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is an American country music singer-songwriter who rose to fame after winning the reality competition Nashville Star in 2006. With a rich baritone voice and a traditional yet modern country sound, he signed with RCA Records Nashville, releasing his self-titled debut album that year. Young has since achieved 14 #1 country singles, including “Gettin’ You Home” and “Famous Friends” with Kane Brown, and earned accolades like a Grammy nomination and membership in the Grand Ole Opry in 2017. His musical roots trace back to his grandfather, a performer on the Louisiana Hayride, and his early performances in local clubs and school productions
