Chris Stapleton has had to postpone a series on his current tour due to a diagnosis of bronchitis and laryngitis per his doctor’s orders.
“To all my friends in Corpus Christi, Houston, and Lafayette, I am very sorry to let you all know that I am unable to perform this weekend’s shows,” Stapleton said in a statement on Instagram.
Stapleton had plans to continue his “All American Roadshow” tour in Texas and Louisiana this weekend but that will have to be put on hold till his doctor gives the all-clear. As of now, the tour will resume in San Antonio, Texas on October 19th.
“I’m grateful for your patience and understanding, and hope to see you all in November,” the statement read.
In the statement, Stapleton said that all tickets purchased will be honored at the rescheduled dates. He also added that all ticket holders who cannot attend the show should contact their point of purchase within the next seven days to receive further instructions.
Stapleton’s new album Higher will be available November 10th and his latest single “It Takes A Woman” is currently live on all streaming platforms.
He’s currently on the road during his “All American Road Show” tour and just announced a European leg of the tour. He’s also got a slew of stadium shows with George Strait and Little Big Town coming up to round out his monstrous year. Stapleton kicked off the year performing the national anthem at Super Bowl LVII eventually releasing his rendition to streaming services.
