Chase Rice will release a new single, “Connie Lou,” at midnight tonight, alongside a free pop-up concert in Nashville and a limited-edition apparel collaboration with Coors Banquet and Wrangler.

Written by Rice with Dan Couch and frequent collaborator Oscar Charles, “Connie Lou” is a tribute to his mother, tracing the early romance of his parents against a backdrop of rodeos, dance halls, and small-town America. The track is built around lines like “Connie fell for a felt hat and Wranglers / On that Friday sippin’ Coors Banquets,” nodding to the brands and culture that have hallmarked Rice’s life and songs.

“Coors Banquet has been part of my story for a long time, from my dad holding two Banquets on the cover of the Cowboys record to writing songs like ‘Mr. Coors,'” Rice said in a statement. “‘Connie Lou’ is inspired by my parents’ story and the kind of life I grew up around, rodeos, small towns, hard work and cold beer at the end of the night.”

To celebrate the release, Rice will debut the song tonight at a free block party in the parking lot of Loser’s Most Wanted Bar & Grill in Nashville’s Midtown. The event is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 5:30.

Surrounding the release, Coors Banquet and Wrangler have launched a joint limited-edition apparel collection of 32 pieces, with the centerpiece being “Beer Chords,” a pair of jeans with the actual chords from “Connie Lou” printed directly onto the denim using Coors Banquet beer-based ink. Only 250 pairs will be available, released in two drops of 125 at shop.coors.com, the first today at noon CT, and the second on June 4. The broader collection includes men’s and women’s apparel and co-branded caps.

Rounding out the partnership, Coors Banquet is also hosting a “Connie Lou Cover Contest,” inviting an up-and-coming artist to perform the song live onstage with Rice. Details will be announced via Coors’s social media channels.

“Connie Lou” will be out everywhere tonight. Chase Rice will be performing in the Losers parking lot this evening.
