This morning, Ashley McBryde announced via social media that she would release her new single, “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs,” on Friday, December 6th. This is her first release since the latest of her summer EPs, which contained condensed compilations of her previous work divided by theme, offering fans a chance to hear her storytelling in curated collections. Over the past few weeks, McBryde has posted clips of this new song in its full production, and it seems to be the leading single for a possible future project.
In a statement about the process of preparing this new single, McBryde shared:
“In the last several years, we’ve all felt like something is missing. I noticed it in myself and most people I came in contact with. And we don’t always know how to articulate it. For us, this song helped us do that.”
“Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs” will be Ashley’s way of highlighting the principles and values that shaped who she is as they become less popular in today’s world.
Upon wrapping up the 2024 Leather Tour with Cody Johnson on Saturday, Ashley Mcrbyde will continue to support the Leather Deluxe Tour in 2025.
Since 2016, Ashley McBryde has been making a name for herself as a gritty yet vulnerable storyteller and talented artist. In 2023, she received a Grammy Award for Best Duo/Group Performance for her feature on Carly Pearce’s “Never Wanted To Be That Girl.” She has also been nominated for CMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year and will perform at the 58th annual CMA awards on November 20th.
In the coming months, we can expect to hear more new music from Ashley, likely involving her same authentic songwriting, while continuing to experiment with new sounds and ideas. Given her growth and history as an artist, her next work won’t disappoint and will continue to push the boundaries of traditional country storytelling.
