After a mysterious clip was posted to the official Johnny Cash social media accounts, it was announced that a new album of unreleased music from the Man in Black called Songwriter will be out June 28th. The song “Well Alright” is available everywhere now.
Cash is often referred to as the greatest country singer of all time, and whenever something new is coming down the pipeline from the Arkansas-born legend, people still pay attention.
He’s listed as a solo writer for the song and is accompanied by David Ferguson, Josh Matas, and Mike Daniel for the production.
Before his untimely departure in 2003, Johnny Cash amassed a staggering collection of accolades and awards. His influence on modern country music is undeniable, with numerous Hall of Fame inductions and a multitude of RIAA-certified gold and platinum Records. His greatness is further underscored by his impressive array of Grammys, ACMs, and CMA awards.
Since his passing, Cash has been remembered in countless ways and continues to live on in the hearts of fans across all genres of music.
Songwriter will be out everywhere on June 28th.
